This reel was designed show show a variety of types of video work that I do, and also give a nod to my personal aesthetic. Thanks for watching! www.jmkpictures.com @jmk.pictures jim@jmkpictures.com

What an "About Us" video is, and why every business needs one.

This year more than ever, folks are realizing the power that video can have to reach people. I believe that every business needs a "main page" video - it goes by many names, including "About Us". This is where it should all begin, and yet so many businesses still don't have one, or have a current one that reflects their current state. We are here to help with that, from strategy to production. In this video I talk about why this digital business card is so important. To schedule a virtual or in-person meeting (social distancing respected), please visit www.optictourstudio.com/contact-us Please share with any local business owners you know, who could benefit from a stronger online media presence. Thank ya'll so much!

Found VHS - help me locate this family

UPDATE: We found Tyre :) Thank you CBS Austin for airing this and making that connection! This VHS home movie was found in a purchased VCR from Goodwill in north Austin, TX recently. It's from 1994. This family looks amazing, so I feel like someone out there knows them - maybe a church community? If you recognize the name or family, please share this with them. If you are a member of this family, I want to return this tape to you. You can reach me at jim.simple@gmail.com. Please include "VHS" in the subject line. SisNotCis - Franki Phoenix

We are so pleased to present this project; Sis Not Cis, which hopefully helps to demystify the topic of gender in the trans community, along with supporting those directly affected by backlash from misgendering. Additionally, there's a strong message of hope and success; of fighting against the odds to make your dreams a reality by sheer refusal to accept anything less, and I love that so much. It's especially poignant in these trying times. We couldn't have done any of this without Franki Phoenix - the clear voice in this conversation. Thank you so much Franki! Vivian at Vivian Stephens played a key role, both as HMUA and director; creating an open, caring space on set. Thank you for all that! Brodie at BroBleach provided the incredible wardrobe which gave Franki such a striking, timeless look - thanks so much. Alex at Letterbox Dreams - Video Production for help and inspiration on this project, Austin School of Film for the space and support to make this real. Finally, I'd like to thank MOTION AUDIO MARKET once again for the beautiful soundtrack. I hope this project clears the air, gives some insight, and leads to healthy discussion moving forward. Thanks so much for watching! 🙏🏻
